Poem in Your Pocket

Poem in Your Pocket Day was began in 2002 by the Office of the Mayor, in partnership with the New York City Departments of Cultural Affairs and Education, as part of the city’s National Poetry Month celebration. In 2008, the Academy of American Poets made the initiative national, encouraging people across the country to join in and share their favorite poems.

This year Voices UnBroken created three exclusive Pocket Poems written by our participants for you to download and share with your community. All we ask is a donation of $4 per poem.  Donate and email Adriana to let us know which poem you would like.

We'd like to extend a special thank you to Kelley Pierre for her wonderful  artwork!
